First “Academic Steps” Lecture Highlights the Academic Journey in Economics

The Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia organized the first lecture of the “Academic Steps” interactive series under the title “Economics as I Experienced It: From the Classroom to Real Life.”

The session presented the academic journey of a Yemeni student studying economics at Indonesian universities, covering different stages from undergraduate studies to postgraduate education. Participants gained an overview of the nature of economics as an academic discipline and its role in understanding economic systems and real-world challenges.

The lecture also discussed the motivations behind choosing economics as a field of study, the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, and the opportunities available for graduates in academic and professional settings.
