Yemeni Students Union Delegation Visits Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

Adam Almamari, President of the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia, accompanied by Abdulsalam Saad, paid an official visit to Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The visit focused on scholarship opportunities, admission procedures, increasing Yemeni student enrollment, and strengthening academic and cultural cooperation.

Yemeni Students Union Delegation Visits Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta
Adam Almamari, President of the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia, accompanied by Abdulsalam Saad, the Union’s representative at the university, paid an official visit to Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.

During the meeting with the university’s International Office, the delegation introduced the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia, highlighting its activities, programs, and efforts in serving Yemeni students. The delegation also presented an overview of the status and achievements of Yemeni students studying in Indonesia.

The discussions covered scholarship opportunities available for international students, the possibility of increasing the number of Yemeni students enrolled at the university, and addressing concerns related to admission interviews and enrollment procedures. Both sides emphasized the importance of facilitating access to higher education opportunities for Yemeni students.

In addition, the meeting explored prospects for academic and cultural cooperation, including a proposal to establish a Yemeni–Arab Corner within the university to promote cultural exchange and introduce students to Yemeni and Arab heritage.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Union presented a commemorative shield to the university in appreciation of its support for Yemeni students and its continued cooperation with the Union in serving the student community.
