Yemeni Students Union Visits Muhammadiyah Institution in Salatiga to Strengthen Cooperation
A delegation from the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia visited the Muhammadiyah Institution in Salatiga to discuss academic and humanitarian cooperation and explore opportunities to support Yemeni students.

As part of its efforts to strengthen relations with educational and charitable institutions across Indonesia, a delegation from the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia visited the Muhammadiyah Institution in Salatiga to explore avenues of joint cooperation that serve Yemeni students.
The Union delegation included:
Union President: Eng. Abdulrazzaq Al-Khazzan
Head of Supervisory Committee: Waleed Jahlan
General Secretary: Mohammed Mijo
Head of Academic and Cultural Department: Amjad Al-Amri
The institution was represented by its head, Professor Saadi, who warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the visit. He also provided an overview of Muhammadiyah and its educational and charitable activities in Salatiga and beyond.
On its part, the Union presented a summary of its key achievements and ongoing activities, highlighting its programs and initiatives supporting Yemeni students, as well as the distribution of Yemeni students across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.
The Union also emphasized its availability of qualified academic and student cadres capable of providing educational and training services, such as Qur’an memorization, Arabic language teaching, and English language instruction. It further expressed its readiness to sign a cooperation agreement with Muhammadiyah Institution to enhance academic and educational exchange.
Professor Saadi outlined Muhammadiyah’s extensive educational and humanitarian structure, noting that it operates based on the Qur’an and Sunnah, and includes approximately 180 universities and 20,000 schools across Indonesia. In Salatiga specifically, Muhammadiyah manages multiple institutions, including seven schools, seven kindergartens, two orphanages, a zakat and charity fund, an educational council, and a Qur’an memorization center.
He also highlighted several ongoing projects, including the Abdulrazzaq Fakhruddin Hospital, expected to be completed within three months, and SMA Ahmad Dahlan School. Additionally, he noted that Muhammadiyah in Salatiga includes 11 leadership members and that the cultural attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh is originally from Muhammadiyah Salatiga.
This visit reflects the Union’s commitment to building effective partnerships with educational and charitable institutions, strengthening the presence of Yemeni students in Indonesian society, and expanding academic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
