Yemeni Students Union Visits the Embassy of Yemen to Discuss Student Affairs
A delegation from the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia visited the Embassy of Yemen in Jakarta and met with H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfaqih to discuss key issues affecting Yemeni students, including scholarships and document authentication services.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen communication with diplomatic missions and serve the interests of Yemeni students, a delegation from the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia paid an official visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Jakarta, where they met with H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfaqih.
The Union delegation included the Union President, Eng. Abdulrazzaq Al-Khazzan, and the Head of Public Relations, Mohsen Al-Muhiqni.
During the meeting, H.E. the Ambassador warmly welcomed the delegation and praised the Union’s vital role as a bridge between Yemeni students and the diplomatic mission. He reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to providing all possible support and facilitating solutions to the challenges faced by Yemeni students studying at Indonesian universities.
The meeting addressed several important issues concerning Yemeni students, including:
Indonesian Government Scholarship (KNB):
The discussion focused on the suspension of the Indonesian Government Scholarship (KNB). H.E. the Ambassador confirmed that the Embassy intends to hold urgent meetings with the relevant authorities, particularly the Ministry of Higher Education, to explore solutions that will help ensure the continuation of scholarship opportunities for Yemeni students.
Document and Certificate Authentication:
The Ambassador also confirmed the continuation of the special policy for students, under which students pay the authentication fee for only one document, while all additional documents are authenticated free of charge, regardless of their number, in recognition of the exceptional circumstances faced by Yemeni students.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Union delegation expressed its sincere appreciation and gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Salem Ahmed Balfaqih for his warm reception, positive engagement, and continued spirit of cooperation in supporting Yemeni students in Indonesia.
