As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with educational and charitable institutions across Indonesia, the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia conducted an official visit to Universitas Atma Luhur to discuss potential avenues for academic and institutional cooperation aimed at supporting Yemeni students.
The delegation included Mr. Mohsen Bandar Al-Muhaqni, Head of the Relations Department, and Mr. Mohammed Saad Al-Sharim, Deputy Head of the Relations Department.
During the meeting, the delegation introduced the Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia, outlining its objectives, mission, and various activities. They also highlighted the key programs and initiatives implemented by the Union to support Yemeni students enrolled in Indonesian universities.
In addition, the delegation provided an overview of the Yemeni student community in Indonesia across different academic levels, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies, emphasizing the Union’s commitment to building effective partnerships with academic institutions to enhance students’ skills and expand opportunities for cooperation.
The discussion also covered several proposals and ideas for future collaboration, including educational programs, training initiatives, and cultural activities that could contribute to supporting Yemeni students and strengthening their positive presence within Indonesian society.
The Vice Rector of Universitas Atma Luhur welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the visit, emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic and cultural ties between the university and Yemeni students. He also commended the Union’s role in representing and supporting students and affirmed the university’s commitment to expanding areas of mutual cooperation.
