The Yemeni Students Union in Indonesia participated in the International Student Cooking Festival (ICF 2026), held on 28 April and hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, in a vibrant multicultural atmosphere featuring participants from more than 23 countries around the world.
The Union’s participation reflected its commitment to promoting Yemen’s rich cultural identity and introducing its historical and cultural heritage to the international academic community. Yemeni students organized a distinguished exhibition booth decorated with the Yemeni national flag, traditional ornaments, and informative displays highlighting the country's rich history and civilization.
During the festival, the Union presented a selection of authentic Yemeni dishes that showcased the diversity and richness of Yemeni cuisine. The dishes received widespread admiration from visitors, including the University's President and several academic officials.
The Union also presented traditional cultural and artistic performances that reflected the authenticity of Yemeni heritage and contributed to strengthening cultural exchange and mutual understanding among students from different countries in an atmosphere of openness, interaction, and friendship.
The Union emphasized that participation in such international events provides an important opportunity to strengthen the presence of Yemeni students in global academic forums, present a positive image of Yemen, and build lasting relationships based on cultural exchange and international cooperation.
